A divorce party is a means to punctuate the conclusion of the anguish and distress that comes with divorce,’ she says. ‘It offers the ritual humans demand to deal with some tricky life passage. These offer console and friendship.

- party planning started

‘It is an opportunity to vent, to exhale, express joy, yell, whatsoever you need to do. Friends can throw a party to present their divorcing pal that they are defended, precious and not isolated.

‘The party can be a essential way the newly divorced person can give thanks to all the people who stuck by them through the phase of breakup.

‘It’s an chance to declare your new position in life. You are now one-person and accessible for fresh experiences and even new human relationships.

‘A solid fresh stage of life is merely the setting out. And that is something to party!’

And do these divorce partiers ever look at the children? How do they feel about hearing that their mother was actually drinking and cheering on being formally chopped from their mother, a person who, whether they care for him or not, has the factors that have up half their personal identity?

And would the guests really want to attend or, if they did, do they really look comfortable?

Some have likely never experienced the side of the opposite mate that the party-giver hates so much and, indeed, never will. Several, who knows, may like to remain being allies with both of you, even today you’re separated.

Lavalife is a unique online dating service based out of Canada. Lavalife is not based on a monthly fee, but the credit system. You purchase credits with your money and then use the credits to interact with other members. Lavalife boasts over 8 million members, so you have a world full of options when using this service. Most of the members are out of the United States and Canada, but there are members found around the world. Lavalife offers a quick and simple registration, so youll be meeting singles in no time.

There are several unique aspects to the Lavalife service. For one, Lavalife has three different communities. The Dating community is for people looking mainly for dates to go on. The Relationship community is for people looking for love, romance or serious relationships, sort of like what you would find at eHarmony. The Intimate Encounters community is for people looking for a good time, if you know what I mean. Choose the community which best suits your needs at present. Another unique feature of Lavalife is the pay structure. You pay $14.95 for 50 credits. These are used to contact other members, at a rate of $1.25 per instant message session. You also pay $1.25 per email to another member. If you receive replies from the person you email, subsequent emails are free. Basically, you pay every time you cast out the net. The bad thing is it costs you when you run into a dry spell. The good thing is you are paying as you go. If you dont have time to seek a match one month, youdont have to pay a monthly fee to retain membership.

Lavalife offers the usual frills for members. You post your profile for free, while you also get a free private email account. Security is paramount at Lavalife, so the private account is a reassurance to those someone untrusting of internet dating. You are offered the smile feature, that is just a way of letting another member you are interested.

Finally, there is the backstage pass. If you want to share private information or photos with a member, you can invite them into your backstage. Only those invited are privy.

Lavalife tries to be different than the other services. I think it has succeeded. The pay-per-contact may not be for everyone. But I think it is worth the $14.95 for a person to give it a try.

You can find more dating advice here and here.

Raleigh, NC-The largest divorce firm in the state, Rosen Law Firm, says they’re not surprised by the sharp increase among Army divorce rates and that more needs to be done to counsel the spouses left at home and those deployed overseas.

“There’s a huge difference between typical divorces that we see on a daily basis and the military divorces that we’re seeing,” says Janet Fritts, a divorce attorney with Rosen Law Firm. “The majority of civilian couples we deal with have stopped communicating somewhere during the marriage, but military couples have been communicating in more ways than ever before.”

Divorce experts say young military marriages, co-ed military units, financial decision-making, and the bureaucracy of being a military officer’s spouse are just some of the factors contributing to the already established problems of spousal absence and combat stress among military families.

“Allocation of finances is a huge problem because so many military members have no control over their finances when they’re overseas and their at-home spouses are spending the monthly checks the way they see fit, sometimes on their new love relationships,” says Fritts. With deployments being more frequent and for longer periods, infidelity is another reason why the Army divorce rates have sharply increased. “A lot of times it’s the women who remain on base to take care of the children and when her husband is gone for 6 months to a year, she may inevitably make new relationships with the men on the base,” says Fritts.

Military couples are usually far away from their families and they are not reminded of their marriage vows because they are so isolated on base or overseas. Fritts also explains the growing co-ed military units are not helping either as more military members are establishing relationships with the opposite sex during wartime.

Statistics show the largest increase recently in Army divorce rates are among officers, a position which Fritts describes as having an enormous responsibility. Coupled with the weight of being an officer, the pressure of being a military officer’s spouse also adds to the problem. “When they’re left by themselves on the military base once their spouse deploys, a lot of spouses stop playing the game of being nice to the other military officer’s spouses,” Fritts explains. “Once the deployed spouse returns there’s a lot of disagreement on the roles played and the bureaucracy of military officers and their spouses.”
